Anyone else obsessed with this show? No, just me?
Before I start typing/talking/rambling about how much I like this show I'll get out of the way the versions I'm familiar with. That would be the book, the Kiera Knightly movie and that's it, I can't get the BBC version OK.
Now onto this episode.
When I read this part in the book I felt like I had fallen from a horse and all the air inside me had been kicked out, I felt bad for Jane & was upset with Mr. Bingley but that was it.
In the movie it was kinda the same, I felt bad for Jane & thought Mr. Bingley was stupid for letting get played so easily, period.
But with TLBD I felt bad, not only did I have that feeling of falling from the horse since last episode but I was so sad for her*, I cried and I'm so angry with Bing I want to jump into a plain, go to LA and kick him and then slap Caroline for good measure. Not just because I know her character but because I can't believe a girl would let her brother play such a douchy move, yes I know it's the way the story goes, but still. Ugh!!
My biggest problem with any book adaptation, besides the changing of lines, is changing the characters personalities and the playing with their emotions, and this show, for me, shows everyones emotions more clearly and in more shades than the book ever did for me.**
To all the team that works in The Lizzie Bennett Diaries, congrats on the amazing job you are all amazing. And to Laura Spencer and Ashley Clements in this episode I'll give you a standing ovation.
Now back to working out, I'm guessing people want to use the bicycle I've been using while I watched the episode and typed this.
*I actually cried which is not something I like to do in public, I'm at the gym you see and I got a lot of weird looks, a coach came by and asked if I had injured myself and all I could do was say: It's just that Bing left and Jane and I just..., never mind. No, I'm fine.
**Feel free to disagree with me, this is just my opinion after all.
